Our Full Moon/Sunset Tour has an easy-grade hike to the Sentinel Dome, where visitors of all ages can experience the dramatic landscape during sunset and moon rise on the top of Sentinel Dome. Under the light of a full moon the vast landscape is breathtaking. Its granite cliffs glow in the silvery light like a moonscape. This particular vista is the photographer’s dream, whether you’re a professional or cell phone shutterbug. This tour can be scheduled for the night of a full moon or any summer night at sunset.
On this Yosemite night tour, you will savor a picnic dinner as crimson or purple hues engulf the western slopes of the Sierra and shadows climb the cliffs of Yosemite Valley. Half Dome will seem to glow with an inner light until it, too, succumbs to nightfall.
A hush falls over the high country as we retrace our steps in the growing twilight. On your journey back to civilization, your mind will dance with images of one of nature’s most majestic temples bejeweled in the sunset. The experience is truly magical, and the memory of Yosemite in the moonlight will stay with you for a lifetime.
